About Art Plus
Company background and few historical facts
General Information Art Plus Marketing & Publishing was founded in 1990 as privately held Joint Stock Company, under Croatian laws as Corporation based in Zagreb. Company is registered at "Trgovacki sud u Zagrebu" under MBS 080351391. Full Name is "Art Plus d.d. za marketing i novinsko nakladnicku djelatnost", in short "Art Plus d.d., Zagreb" or translated to English "Art Plus Marketing and Publishing Corp.". Company Shares are currently not publicly traded.
Art Plus is located in Zagreb, Croatia. Some of our more prominent projects are:
1992. (Publishing project) We founded BYTE Croatia Computer Magazine in collaboration with McGraw-Hill Inc. NY. USA. Project was started with financial help of companies 3C-Coning Inc. and Sistem Inc. Later, our three companies formed Informa Inc. that took ower publishing of the magazine since June, 1993.
1993. (Event management)
Art Plus initiated, and under auspices of Ministry of Science and Technology organized the first appearance of Croatian IT companies at Hannover fair, CeBIT'94.
1994. (Publishing project) We founded Computer Magazine - Mips, besides it's paper edition, Mips was published on-line first at Gopher, and later, since October 1995., on the World Wide Web.
1997. (Publishing project) Mips was merged with new edition - ComputerWorld Croatia - Founded by 3media Inc. and IDG Inc.. Our company took over publishing responsibility for ComputerWorld in following four months.
1997. (Web development) Three years since our first projects on the Internet, in April, 1997., We accepted the honour of building the Web site presenting the largest Croatian exhibition of a decade "Biedermeier in Croatia" Organized by Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb. That exhibition marked the beginning of our collaboration with several large cultural institutions.
1998. (Web development) We accepted a new challenge - Building a site for Croatian News Agency - HINA. Fully automated site enabling HINA to publish more then 2000 news releases each day with only a minimal human intervention.
1998. (Software) By the end of 1998 we have finished the first set of our new and promising line of products - Games and Applications for Promotional Purposes. The initial set of programs included the MemoGame, simple clock and a PC calendar.
1999. (Software & AdSpecialty) During the first quarter of 1999., we created new programs like EasyNoter and Wallpaper Calendar Changer, and upgraded existing.
2000. (Software & AdSpecialty) EasyNoter became our flagship product! Since the release 2.5 that was featured at ZDNet LaunchPad in June, 2000, EasyNoter live through several upgrades gaining more and more popularity through out the world...
2001-1995-2003. (Software & AdSpecialty) EasyNoter and MemoGame Marked 2001 and the beginning of year 1995-2003! Following successful launches on ZDNet and Tucows, we definitively shifted our business interest towards Software and Software Ad Specialty products.
